Trans Iowa V.5 Map
Some of you have asked WHERE in Iowa was this race held. Here is a map. What you will notice is that the route seems to avoid all the little dots. I guess they didn't play connect the dots when they were growing up. LOL!
Hunter- Thank you it was a very hard race. Definitely not what I expected and I learned a little more about myself and my ability to persevere. All that finished deserve huge props!!
Thanks for coming out all the way from California. That was great work on the video and posting the map of the race. Sometimes technology is cool. I hope to ride with you again next year. Ari Andonopoulos Sycamore, IL Flandria Velosport
Ari- thank you for reading my blog. I took the liberty of posting your Trans Iowa experience on my blog.
TI has definitely made an impression on me. Logistically and financially it is quite a challenge to get to the TI start line so we'll see if I can come back.
I am an Ultra Cyclist and father who completed 2- Person Race Across America (RAAM) in 2007. I have finished Furnace Creek 508 SOLO FOUR consecutive years in 2006, 2007 (Fixed Gear)2008, and 2009. I am a Trans Iowa finisher and a Super Randonneur. I am a cycling coach with clients ranging from endurance cyclists, to triathletes, to beginners just entering the sport of cycling.
