T- 17 days until Furnace Creek 508 2009. I go into this event burnt-out from a full year of ultra racing. My season began with the San Diego 200km Brevet back in Jan 3rd and will end with FC508 on Oct 3rd, a full 10 months! Follow labels such as Race Reports, races, Brevets, or training, mountains, high intensity to read up all the races and training leading up to the Furnace Creek 508, my goal event of the year.

Good luck on the 508 George! Hopefully one of these years I might try to add in some road ultra experience.
ReplyDeleteThink you Buckshot77. You should think about crewing for me. If you ever want to do the Furnace Creek 508 having crewed the event is very important to have on your application. Besides you can watch me suffer that's got to be worth a trip to California;)
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely give that some thought. I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy crewing. Unfortunately for this year, baby #2 is about T-24 days so I'm restricted to a pretty tight radius around the midwest for the time being ;)
